I guess I should finally restart this blog! Finally over that horrible cold!
We are currently in the 18th day of traveling and have made it as far as Newport, North Carolina.
Let me pick it up where I left off with a short review.
First stop was Washington DC, March 17th through the 19th. We got to see Cherry Blossoms (some trees didn’t follow the human rule of when they were supposed to be ready) and had some very nice weather. We stayed at the State Plaza Hotel a couple blocks from the Lincoln Memorial (see previous post for details).
March 19,2022 - Arrived in Staunton, Virginia: on a beautiful day. We are
staying in an Airbnb which is this photo. It is an oldie but goodie and walking distance to downtown (about four blocks).
March 19th - 22nd we were in Staunton, Virginia. What a nice little town! We could explore everything on foot. Found some interesting sights around town to check out. We even went to a theatrical production of Romeo & Juliet at Blackfriars Playhouse there. Had a great time while there. Weather was all over the place; hot, chilly & rainy. Quaint small town. We visited the Polyface farm. It is a unique way of sustainable farming.
A resident suggested we visit Trinity Episcopal Church to see the Tiffany windows.
