The 26th was another experience, although it was Universal Studios Florida Theme Park and Universal's Islands of Adventure Theme Park this time. We had to get a 1 day 2 park pass because we wanted to see ALL of the Harry Potter areas. It was a beautiful day and we had a very nice time. Lilia said it didn't quite live up to her expectations, but it was good.
On the 27th we left Orlando for Miami to stay at the Clarion Inn & Suites Miami International Airport as we wanted to meet Ken and Brenda at the airport the next morning.
The 28th their Jetblue plane was about an hour late and after welcoming them, it was decided to head north to see a friend of theirs. We spent the afternoon with them and had a nice visit. We had Empanadas for an afternoon snack and Grilled Salmon for supper. It was delicious! We went to check into our reserved hotel (Tru by Hilton Miami West Brickell) and arrived at around 10:00 PM. No one was there! It was closed (in fact so new that it hadn't even opened yet!). The reservation had been made by AAA in Tom's River for Ken. Brenda spent the next half hour on the phone with the Hilton Hotels having them find us another couple rooms. We ended up at Homewood Suites by Hilton Miami Downtown/Brickell. It was ok. Got to bed around midnight.
